WIGGINS, MS (WLOX) - A late night traffic stop in Wiggins led to the discovery of drugs, and multiple arrests.

Police say they received calls about someone recklessly driving through the city late Thursday night. The car reportedly sped past a patrol car. After a short chase, Brandy Curry of Gulfport and Robert Deloach of Ellisville eventually pulled over. It is not currently known who was driving the vehicle.

The approaching officer reported smelling a strange odor coming from inside the car. Investigators said a search of the vehicle turned up five grams of methamphetamine and two ounces of marijuana.

Curry and Deloach were arrested for drug possession, and remain in jail as they wait to make an initial appearance in court and bond to be set.
