United Way of South Miss. hosts Diaper Drive

SOUTH MISSISSIPPI (WLOX) -

In the spirit of honoring and celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, the United Way Volunteer Center of South Mississippi is hosting a  Diaper Drive.

According to the United Way, there are many young families who are unable to purchase diapers with their financial income. Not being able to afford diapers can lead to many problems, with one in particular - a child having to wear the same diaper for an extreme number of hours. Extended wear can lead to rashes and irritations in children.

Diapers will be collected in South Mississippi until Jan. 22 at the following locations:

Knight Nonprofit Center

  • 11975 Seaway Rd, Gulfport

Regions Bank

  • 1121 US-90, Bay St. Louis
  • 905 Cedar Lake Rd, Biloxi
  • 10359 D’Iberville Blvd, D’Iberville
  • 2200 14th St, Gulfport
  • 1015 Cowan Rd, Gulfport
  • 1538 Dedeaux Rd, Gulfport
  • 9420 Highway 49, Gulfport

Walmart Supercenter

  • 2681 Ct. Switzer Sr Dr, Biloxi
  • 3615 Sangani Blvd, D’Iberville
  • 9350 Highway 49, Gulfport
  • 1617 E Beach Blvd, Pass Christian
  • 235 Frontage Rd, Picayune
