GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) -

Following a fatal Gulfport fire on Jan. 6, Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove has identified the victim.

Lilly Mae Williams, 82, died of smoke inhalation when her home on 41st Ave. caught fire. Investigators say the fire started in an outlet due to some type of electrical short in extension cords.

A positive identification was made through DNA testing at the state crime lab in Jackson.

Friends of Williams held a candlelight vigil in front of her home on Tuesday.
