The Pearl River County Sheriff's Department got a call on Millbrook Lane Friday night around 7:40 p.m.
When deputies arrived, they found 41-year-old Lisa Bourg lying in the driveway of a neighbor's house. She had a cut on her arm and two puncture wounds to her back. One of those pierced her lung. Bourg told authorities that her son had stabbed her.
Deputies found her son, 13-year-old Christopher Bourg, walking down the street. After a short chase, deputies arrested him.
District Attorney Buddy McDonald decided to charge Bourg as an adult. He was charged with aggravated assault and placed in the Pearl River County Jail under a $20,000 bond.
Lisa Bourg was originally taken to Crosby Memorial Hospital. She was later transported to North Shore Medical Center. Saturday, she was in stable condition.
