ST. MARTIN, MS (WLOX) - A bomb scare at St. Martin Junior High School ended with the arrest of a 14-year-old student Wednesday. According to Sheriff Mike Ezell, the student who reportedly found the bomb threat in a note and brought it to school officials also wrote the note.
Ezell said deputies and a bomb-sniffing dog responded to the threat after school officials reported a student had found a note in the bathroom saying a bomb would explode at 2 p.m.
After further investigation, Ezell said deputies determined the student who found the note, was also the author of the note. Ezell said the teen was charged with false reporting of a bomb or explosive and taken to the Jackson County Youth Detention Center.
