BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - Are you ready for seventh annual Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic?
The 2016 Champions Tour event is set for March 28-April 3 at Fallen Oak In Biloxi and the tournament will be broadcast live on the Golf Channel.

The local tournament has become one of the player's favorite events on the Champions Tour.

This year's event will feature more opportunities for the public to get up close and personal with the players. In 2015, additional skyboxes were added on the 17th hole and new public seating areas overlooking the #1 tee box will be added along with a greenside grandstand overlooking the 18th green. The "Oyster Lounge" will be relocated to the 9th green and catered by local favorite Half Shell Oyster House.\
Volunteer registration is now open. Approximately 800 people work the course during the week of activities. There are over 25 committees available including Marshals, Walking Scorers, Player Shuttles, Caddie Hospitality, Access Control, and the Welcome Center. Volunteers receive a package of benefits valued at #350 for the registration fee of $60. This includes their volunteer uniform, credentials, a parking pass, tickets to the tournament, meals during shifts, an invitation to the Volunteer Appreciation Party, and a complimentary round of golf at Grand Bear or a complimentary buffet from Harrah's gulf Coast as well as the opportunity to play Fallen Oak as park of the designated Volunteer Play Days in the summer of 2016.
32 Champions Tour golfers are members in the World Golf Hall of Fame. Golfers are age 50 and older.
