Gulfport man admits to stealing 52 guns from Saucier pawn shop

HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

A Gulfport man is facing up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine after pleading guilty to stealing 52 guns from a Saucier pawn shop.

Octavia Jermaine Winters, 32, pleaded guilty Tuesday to theft of firearms from a federal firearms licensee. U.S. Attorney Gregory Davis said Winters stole 52 guns from Friendly Pawn and Auto.

The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department.

Winters’ sentencing was set for April 22.
