Ocean Springs police still searching for assault suspect

OCEAN SPRINGS, MS (WLOX) - Ocean Springs police continue to ask for the public's help in finding a man wanted in connection to a sexual assault that happened on the Biloxi Bay Bridge in November 2014.

A composite sketch from the Ocean Springs Police Department of the suspect describes him as a tall, thin black man, between 30 and 32 years old who was last seen in jeans, a grey jacket and a ball cap that said "Miami."

Investigators say they have been able to chase down potential leads, but there is still no suspect or person of interest in custody.

"Right now there are no new leads that have come in," said Captain William Jackson. "We have tested, got DNA tests, I mean DNA Samples from at least 14 other individuals that possibly matches the description the victim gave us and those came up negative for the match of the DNA that was found on her body, on her clothing."

Ocean Springs police are still asking for your assistance in tracking down this suspect. If you have any information that could identify the suspect, you're asked to call the Ocean Springs Police Department at 228-875-2211.
