JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

A Jackson County gas station clerk was put in a terrifying situation late Sunday night when three masked men allegedly forced him into an SUV and drove away. Moss Point Police Chief Art McClung said his department is working to find out who was behind the kidnapping and robbery.

McClung said Moss Point police officers responded to the Shell Service Station on Highway 63 around 10:30 p.m. That’s where they found the store clerk, who claimed three masked men had forced him into a maroon GMC SUV and drove off.

The clerk told police the men drove him to an unknown location in Moss Point where they robbed him and left him. After the suspects drove away, the clerk was forced to walk back to the gas station where the alleged kidnapping originally happened.

McClung said the case is being investigated by the Moss Point Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division. If you have any information that could help crack this case, McClung asks you to call his department at 228-475-1711 or Crime Stoppers at 1-877-787-5898.
