JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

A Vancleave man is behind bars after allegedly stabbing someone visiting his ex-girlfriend at her house.

Jackson County Sheriff Mike Ezell said the call came in around 7:30 p.m. Monday, and deputies responded to the home on Highway 613 in Moss Point.

Ezell said a woman told deputies her ex-boyfriend, 33-year-old Charlie George Whitney, Jr., showed up to her house uninvited and stabbed her guest before leaving the scene.

The victim was taken to Singing River Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. Whitney was later arrested and charged with domestic violence aggravated assault. He is being held at the Jackson County jail without bond.
