Pascagoula bank shows appreciation for Jackson Co. law enforcers

PASCAGOULA, MS (WLOX) -

Some Pascagoula bank employees took time out today to show their appreciation to local law enforcement officers.Merchants and Marine Bank hosted a free lunch for all officers in Jackson County, its cities and the Mississippi Highway Patrol. Workers also delivered meals to the substations.

The bank president said this is a stressful time of year for the officers, and they do so much to keep the community safe, so it's time to say thank you.

The officers enjoyed barbecue pulled pork, coleslaw and baked beans.
