STARKVILLE, MS (WLOX) -

The two former Mississippi State students accused of trying to leave the country to join ISIS now have a trial date.

Jaelyn Young of Vicksburg and Muhammed Dakhlalla of Starkville go to trial on June 6, 2016. They are both charged with aiding terrorists.

Young and Dakhlalla were arrested in August as they attempted to board a flight out of Jackson with plans to fly to Turkey.

The court also set a date of May 23 as the deadline for the couple to reach a plea deal in the case.

Both are being held without bond.
