Merchants are filling their shelves aiming to tempt consumers to head to their store during one of the biggest shopping days of the year--Super Saturday.

A few retailers at Edgewater mall gave WLOX some pointers on landing those must-have items.

"I have not finished my Christmas shopping," said shopper Danielle Pietz.

That's the case for many shoppers during the final days before Christmas.

"I am a procrastinator. I have three children so I should be shopping for them, but I am not. I get distracted by shops like this that pull me in, but also just keeping up with them, trying to get out and do the shopping," Pietz explained.

Loads of stock flooded Edgewater Mall in preparation of a busy Super Saturday. Over at Bella Rose Boutique, store employees said they had a better than expected Black Friday and are anticipating to see even higher sales this Saturday.

"We really ramped up the employees. We have a U-haul coming today bringing so much clothing tonight. So we have girls in the warehouse to 11 p.m. tonight. Just really getting the store prepared for this weekend. We're preparing for it to be a big one," said Bella Rose store associate Alexandria Tiblier.

Putting the Super in Saturday are more sale signs than empty racks.

"The mall is packed. And we do have a lot of stuff. So we are prepared. It won't be a problem. We can handle the customers. We have good staff working with us," said Raj Khanna who is the owner of My Kind of Place.

Khanna said not only is he overstocking his store with the usual merchandise he carries, he's also getting an item in that's hard to find.

"This year Yeti is hard. We have some tumblers nobody else has in Mississippi," said Khanna.

If you're still in need of the gift to make him or her smile, here are some tips.

"Plan ahead, don't do what I did and last minute shop," said Pietz.

"They should get out now, this is the best time. Once you hit the weekend there's a lot of traffic," Khanna said.

"As soon as you know the store is open I recommend to be here 15 to 30 minutes early," said Tiblier suggested.

Edgewater Mall in Biloxi is open Thursday from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. and 9 a.m. until 11 p.m. on Friday. For Super Saturday, the mall opens at 8 a.m. until 11 p.m.
