As Biloxi firefighters were spreading holiday cheer Saturday afternoon, police say a shooting suspect didn't return the favor.

Officials say as firefighters were ringing bells at a Biloxi Walmart near the mall around noon, someone went to Fire Station 5 located at 2499 Pass Road and shot out the windows of multiple vehicles, one of which was a city vehicle.

The firefighters left the store around 1 p.m. to make a report about the incident. Police say it appears that the shots were fired with a pellet gun.

The station is not equipped with cameras, no suspect information is available at this time. Some victims say that insurance will not cover the cost of repairs, and are hopeful that neighbors in the area will come forward.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call the Biloxi Police Department at 228-392-0641.
