JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

A volunteer group says it will stay two more days in the search for a missing plane. Representatives from Texas Equusearch say they are now scouring a more concentrated area of the Mississippi Sound for signs of the aircraft that crashed over Jackson County.

The group originally planned to suspend search efforts at noon Monday. However, the search continued after the group says they received coordinates that narrowed down the search area.

Despite countless hours on the water with sonar and other equipment, no one has found the main cabin of the Lancair plane that took off from the Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport on Oct. 26 en-route to South Carolina.

Saucier resident Dexter Brewer boarded the plane in Gulfport along with another passenger and pilot from the Monroe, Louisiana area.

The Department of Marine Resources continues to search the area daily.
