Rebels Drop A Close One In Extra Innings

OXFORD, Miss. (AP) _ Ryan Corrigan hit a game-winning solo homer in the 10th and drove in three runs to lead Arkansas State to a 7-6 victory over Mississippi Wednesday night. Corrigan was 2-for-4 with a double and his home run off Nick Bradshaw (3-1) broke a 6-6 tie. Kent Brunen and Kyle Brunen each homered for the Indians (17-23). Ole Miss (27-13-1) tied the game at 6 with two runs in the eighth. John Anderson (3-2), the last of five Arkansas State pitchers, worked a scoreless final two innings, allowing one hit. Lance Jones was 2-for-5 with two runs and Josh Christian was 2-for-5 with two RBIs for Ole Miss. The Rebels dropped have lost two straight for the first time this season.
