Noxubee County is King of the Hill in the Class 4A following 44-23 win over St. Stanislaus

St. Stanislaus had a goal of making their way back to the State Championship game after walking off the field in Starkville last season. In 2014 Noxubee County beat the Rockachaws 48-27 in 2014.

A year later St. Stanislaus accomplished their goal and got another shot at Noxubee County, this time in Oxford.

The end result was a repeat performance by the highly-talented Tigers.  Quarterback Ti'Morris Conner completed 18 of 26 passes for 365 yards and four touchdowns guiding Noxubee County to back-to-back Class 4A titles.

Kymbotric Mason snagged five catches for the Tigers for 113 yards and two touchdowns, covering 14 and 31 yards.

Ladaveon Smith grabbed nine catches for 170 yards and a 20-yard TD.

Trailing 19-0 late in the first half, Brennan guided the Rockachaws into the Tigers redzone.  When it appeared St. Stanislaus would score a touchdown to close the gap, Rockachaws receiver caught a pass from Brennan when he was hit by two Tiger defenders.  The ball popped loose and Noxubee County freshman Kyziah Pruitt scooped up the football and took off on a 97-yard touchdown return and just like that St. Stanislaus trailed 25-0 at the half.

Myles Brennan and his St. Stanisalus Rockachaws couldn't hold off an aggressive Tigers defense, one that sacked Brennan seven times.  Brennan passed for 268 yards and two touchdowns.

It was a bitter pill to swallow, but that's football.  Coach Conides and his Rockachaws enjoyed another successful football season posting 11 wins and 4 losses and many key players will return next season.
