Pascagoula kicks off the holidays with Christmas in the Park

Dance performances showcasing a scene from the Nutcracker, lighting of the Christmas Tree and fireworks. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there to make a special appearance. The park also includes a life size Christmas village, a snow play area and face painting. Plus, carnival games and inflatable children’s activities. This event starts at 5:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Beach Park (600 City Park Street) in Pascagoula. Call 228-762-1020 for questions.

Tree Lighting with Santa

Ocean Springs holds its annual Christmas tree lighting with Santa at Marshall Park. Refreshments will be offered. Christmas carols will be played and girls and boys will have a chance to take a picture with Santa. There will also be a number of other family friendly activities. This event starts at 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Marshall Park in Ocean Springs. Call 228-875-4424 for more information.

Annual Children’s Parade

Children in grades K-3rd will be riding hay wagons during the parade. This event takes place at 6 p.m. at the Frank Gruich Community Center at 591 Howard Avenue all the way to the Town Green at 710 Beach Blvd in Biloxi. Call Parks and Recreation for more information 228-388-7170.

Christmas on the Town Green

Biloxi celebrates the lighting of the Christmas tree. And Santa Claus gives away goodies and hot chocolate. There will also be decorating of the Christmas tree. Admission is free. This event starts at 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Biloxi Town Green at 710 Beach Blvd. in Biloxi. Call Parks and Recreation for more information 228-388-7170.

Holiday Open House

This two-day event kicks off in Ocean Springs and features specials at area shops, guests can visit with artists. There will also be activities, artist demonstrations, giveaways, Santa will make an appearance and refreshments offered at businesses. This event starts from 10 a.m. until on both days in downtown Ocean Springs. Vendors will be out on Saturday at the L&N Depot Plaza from 9 a.m.- 1 p.m. Call 228-875-4424 for more information.

30th Annual Christmas in the Pass

This two-day event features several holiday events. On Friday, December 4 from 5 – 9 p.m. there will be the lighting of the Christmas tree at War Memorial Park and the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus. A parade starts there also all the way to Davis Avenue in downtown Pass Christian. That’s where the holiday open house held along with, street fair, live music photos with Santa, children’s activities and an arts and crafts village with almost 100 vendors.
Saturday, December includes pet photos with Santa from 2 p.m.- 4 p.m. There will also be a pet parade at 3 p.m. Plus at 5 p.m. the “Pass Under the Lights,” 5k run and ½ mile fun run will be held. Call Pass Christian Main Street at 228-452-3315 or Pass Christian Chamber of Commerce 228-604-0014.

Ho Ho Ho HOSA Cocktail Party

The Historic Ocean Springs Association (HOSA) features a special array of hors d’oeuvres for the cocktail party. Tickets are $30 each. Only 100 tickets available. HOSA is a non-profit whose mission is to make public improvements to Ocean Springs. This event starts at 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Lagniappe Restaurant in Ocean Springs. Christmas on the Water

This boat parade began 29 years ago in Biloxi featuring more than a dozen decorated boats cruising on the water. This event starts 6 p.m. off the Biloxi peninsula and moves all the way to from the Biloxi Lighthouse to Point Cadet.

Moss Point Christmas Boat Parade

This boat parade features various decorated vessels with lights. It all starts at 6 p.m. at the downtown riverfront in Moss Point.

Wednesday, December 9

Senior Luncheon

This event is open to seniors 55 or older. This Christmas party includes a ham holiday dinner, Christmas carolers and door prizes. Guests are asked to bring a dessert. Admission is free. Saturday, December 12

Spirit of Christmas at Hiller Park

Food and crafts vendors will be set up around a children’s area filled with games and a bounce house. This event is 10 am. – 4 p.m. at Barbara Ferrill Softball Fields, Hilller Park, 1940 Edgers Road in Biloxi. Call Parks and Recreation for more information 228-388-7170.

Special Needs Christmas Dance

This Christmas dance is open for all ages with physical and mental disabilities. Food and security will be available. There will be door prizes and admission is an unwrapped gift (no more than $10).
