MACJC All-Star Game set for 11:30 Saturday morning at Biloxi High


Eight Mississippi Gulf Coast football players will compete in the MACJC All-Star game at Biloxi.  Gulf Coast is hosting the game and will be represented by eight players.

Defensive backs Marcus Betts of Long Beach and Da'Kevian McGee of West Harrison will be in that number along with Bulldog wide receivers Jevon Floyd of Gulfport and Ocean Springs wide receiver Ishmel Morrow.

Betts closed out the 2015 season with 36 tackles, three sacks and a team leading four interceptions.

Murrow snagged 51 receptions to lead the state for 682 yards and four touchdowns.  Floyd had 26 catches for 335 yards and a touchdown.

Gulf Coast defensive end Joe Green of Madison Central made his presence known this season with 46 tackles, 3.5 sacks and eight tackles for a loss.

Other Bulldog players set to play on Saturday include long snapper Austin McIntosh of D'Iberville, Vancleave offensive linemen A.J. Skinner and Fiante Weir of St. Martin.

Gulf Coast Bulldogs head coach Chad Huff will be the South All-Stars head coach.

Kickoff time 11:30 Saturday morning at Biloxi Indian Stadium.
