An Alabama man lost his life in a car accident in George County Saturday evening.

Mississippi Highway Patrol spokesman Cpl. Benjamin Seibert said the accident happened just before 6 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 98 and Highway 198.

The driver was 44-year-old Curtis Randall Baxter from Semmes.

Seibert says Baxter was driving a Ford Focus when he left the northbound lanes and flipped several times. Baxter was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash and was ejected from his vehicle.
