Two schools receive bomb threats

Two bomb threats forced the evacuation of two schools in the Pascagoula-Gautier School District Friday afternoon. The threats were made at Pascagoula High School and Gautier Middle School. This is the second threat in Gautier in as many days. Thursday, Gautier High School also received a bomb threat.

District spokeswoman Debbie Anglin said students at both schools were evacuated and everyone is safe.

"We are just waiting for the all clear to send students back into class," Anglin said.

The threats were made around 1 p.m.  “We sent phone messages and text messages to parents at both schools to let everybody know everyone is okay,” Anglin said.

Schools in the district are being dismissed early today. Schools are closed next week for the Thanksgiving holiday.

“Maybe things will calm down,” Anglin said.
