D'IBERVILLE, MS (WLOX) -

They're counting down the days at the Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort in D'Iberville. The grand opening is set for Dec. 9. We got a sneak peek at today's media tour of the property.

It includes 300 hotel rooms, 36 holes of miniature golf, four restaurants and a gaming floor with table games and more than 1,300 slot machines. The waterfront buffet features spectacular views of Biloxi Bay.

The project architect says it's been a pleasure working to bring this development to life. Nory Hazaveh was helping adjust the lights in what he says will be a vibrant bar and entertainment area.

"This place will set the bar for this type of attraction," said Hazaveh.

He said the city and local builders have been a pleasure to work with, and he can't wait to see all the smiles on opening day.

Steve Phillips will have a whole lot more from today’s tour later today. Look for his story on WLOX News and WLOX.com.
