JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

According to Jackson County Sheriff's Department, a woman who ditched her bicycle for a bigger set of wheels is now behind bars.

Officials say that around 3 p.m. on Nov. 4, a 2005 Ford F-150 with 28" chrome rims was stolen from a job site in the 15000 block of Custer Street in Jackson County. Witnesses at the scene told law enforcement that a woman on a bicycle 'jumped into the vehicle and sped off onto Jean Street.'

The following day, Jackson County Deputies returned to Custer Street on a tip that the suspect was seen in the area. Using a description provided by a witness, police located the suspect; 21-year-old Robin Danielle Ross of Vancleave.

After recovering the missing vehicle in a wooded area off of Krohn Road in Latimer, Ross was arrested and charged with motor vehicle felony taking.

If convicted, Ross faces up to 10 years in the state penitentiary and a $10,000 fine.
