HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - Former Harrison County Supervisor Kim Savant has reported to a federal prison to serve his sentence. According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons website, Savant is at the federal prison in Montgomery.
Savant was sentenced earlier this month to five years behind bars for his role in a bribery conspiracy that took place when he served on the Harrison County Utility Authority. Savant admitted he took money in exchange for votes favoring coast contractor Sean Anthony. He pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit bribery.
Anthony's sentencing is set for January 4.
