The Mississippi Gulf Coast and Spring Hill College ended regulation tied at 1-over 577. That forced a playoff and the Bulldogs would come through when freshman Colin Troxler birdied the ninth hole at the Grand Bear Golf Course, while seven other golfers made par.
A total of 14 teams from 11 schools competed in the invitational.
Coach Tommy Snell said, "It feels really good. We've been trying to win this tournament for 13 years. We were excited about that."
