Harrison County Circuit Clerk Predicts High Turnout

The Harrison County Circuit clerk expects a big turnout for Tuesday statewide flag vote. Gayle Parker says preliminary indications are that people will be showing up at the polls to voice their opinions on whether to keep the 1894 flag.

"If there's any indication about the absentee voting that we've had in the office, we've probably have had about 1,000 absentee people who've registered in the office," said Parker. "As well as since November in Harrison County we've registered about three thousand new voters."

WLOX news will have the flag vote results as soon as the ballots are counted.
