SOUTH MISSISSIPPI (WLOX) -

WLOX First Alert meteorologists report a coastal flood warning is in effect for Harrison, Hancock, and Jackson Counties until 7 p.m.

Hancock County Emergency Management Agency Director Brian Adam said many roadways south of I-10 in Hancock County are impassable. Some of the worst flooding right now is in Shoreline Park.

Highway 90 is also a mess in Hancock and Harrison Counties. Rupert Lacy with the Harrison County Emergency Management Agency told WLOX News sand and deep puddles are covering Highway 90.

"We're taking a massive beating anywhere that we have a tidal influx," said Lacy. "We're asking drivers to use caution when driving along 90 or use an alternate route."
