GAUTIER, MS (WLOX) - An early morning officer involved shooting in Gautier left a suspected shooter wounded, and facing charges.
Gautier police responded to a domestic violence call around 4:30 a.m. Thursday morning in the Magnolia Bluff area. Upon arriving, police say they encountered 32-year-old Seth Edward Bemis, who began shooting at officers as they approached the home.
According to a release sent to WLOX News, police returned fire, wounding Bemis before taking him into custody.
Bemis was transported to Singing River hospital for treatment, and is expected to face felony charges upon his release.
