GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) -

FunTime USA is returning to South Mississippi. The new location will be on Highway 90, west of Cowan Road.

The popular amusement park was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The new owners, Rafe O'Neal and Romy Simpson, said the new park will feature many of the attractions that made the original park a hit including the classic Humpty Dumpty statue.

Humpty Dumpty stood at the entrance of the original park and sat defiantly on his wall during and after Hurricane Katrina. The statue made headlines across the country after the storm. It will be placed at the new park's entrance.

There will be a miniature golf course, go karts, bumper boats and rides for all ages. The original merry-go-round, that was salvaged after Katrina, will also be restored and operating in the new park.

Owners plan to have the amusement park opened by next summer.
