HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

Three coast cities are teaming up to make new rules for taxicab drivers.

Biloxi, Gulfport, and D'Iberville are considering a plan that would reduce fees and streamline the regulatory process.

It would also clear the way for ridesharing services like Uber and Lyft to operate, as long as they can show vehicle and driver documentation.

An hour-long public hearing on the proposed changes will take place Tuesday, October 20 at 10:30 in the morning, at Biloxi City Hall. Speakers will be limited to three minutes each.
