GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) - The City of Gulfport could have another casino in the works in the near future. Three companies have come forward saying they are interested in bringing some type of casino development to the Gulfport Harbor.
The four-acre property was once leased to Rotate Black to build the Hemingway Resort and Casino. According to the chairperson for the Gulfport Redevelopment Commission, the lease was terminated because Rotate Black ran behind on its lease payments.
The commission recently received three casino proposals for the property. It is in the process of setting up interviews with those companies.
