Companies express interest in development hear Gulfport Harbor

GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) - Three companies are interested in bringing some type of casino development to the Gulfport Harbor.

The four-acre property near Jones Park was once leased to Rotate Black to build the Hemingway Resort and Casino. As previously reported, the chairperson for the Gulfport Redevelopment Commission says the lease was terminated because Rotate Black ran behind on its lease payments.

The GRC recently received three casino proposals for the property. The commission says it is in the process of setting up interviews with those companies.
