HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - A Harrison County school is trying to promote peace through an eye catching art project. Over the last two weeks, students at Woolmarket Elementary have been making their own personal pinwheels and they've written words like "love", "peace" and "smile" on them.
Today, they planted the pinwheels in front of their school to celebrate International Day of Peace. The students said since they started making the pinwheels, they've noticed quite a change in the way they treat other people.
Trang Pham Bui is working on this story today and will have more details later on WLOX News and WLOX.com.
