BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

Baseball is over for the year at MGM Park in downtown Biloxi. Now the question is what comes next.

Cliff Kirkland, with the City of Biloxi, said concerts and family festivals will be scheduled at the park over the next several months, until baseball begins again next year. Meanwhile, college baseball games are scheduled for next year as well.

As for the actual construction of the stadium, it is virtually 100 percent complete. Andy Westfall is the project manager for Yates Construction, the company that built the $35 million ballpark. He said with the exception of a few punch list items, the stadium is finished.

Westfall admits it was a challenge building a baseball stadium while baseball was actually being played there earlier this summer, but he adds it was a challenge his company met.

Doug Walker is working on the story, and will have more later today on WLOX News and on WLOX.com.
