HANCOCK COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - A series of grass fires along I-10 in Hancock County has made it hard for drivers to see traffic in front of them. And according to MDOT, visibility could be an issue for the next two hours.
A news release from MDOT says the fires are burning between exit 2 and exit 13. They've created hazardous driving conditions for people going in and out of Mississippi. One driver who just went through the plume of smoke said the smoke seemed to be contained to a five mile area. To be safe, he drove about 35 miles per hour through the haze.
