GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) -

Chefs of the Coast takes over a new location this year. The premier event promises to satisfy your food expectations with some of the top restaurants on the coast featured in the 33rd Annual Chefs of the Coast Food and Wine Gala.

The festivities take place at the Island View Resort's new Beach Tower in Gulfport on Sunday, September 20 from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m.

And while pleasing every guest's palate is a priority for Chefs of the Coast organizers, so is promoting the restaurant and hospitality industry on the coast.

All proceeds benefit the community by providing scholarships to the MGCCC, assistance to local High School Culinary Arts Programs, and the Gulf Coast Chapter of the MS Hospitality and Restaurant Association.

Attendees will have the opportunity to sample food and drink items from restaurants and breweries all over the coast.

"We also welcome the return of the “Food As Art”  competition sanctioned by the American Culinary Federation of the Gulf Coast," said MS Hospitality and Restaurant Association's Executive Director Beverly Martin.

Tickets are $75 per person.

Must be 21 or over to attend. Dress is cocktail.
