BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - Biloxi's Hard Rock Cafe played host to a local tribute to the victims and heroes of 9/11. An appreciation concert was held Friday night in support of the Stephen Siller's Tunnel to Towers Foundation. The event honored Seller and other firefighters who lost their lives 14 years ago.
A silent auction was held while local band ISIS played. Funds raised from the concert will go toward building homes for injured service members.
Hard Rock Cafe Sales and Marketing Manager Jamie Mitchell said the event is an excellent way to show firefighters gratitude.
Jamie Barhanovich-Mitchell said, "9/11 is a stain to all of our hearts and I feel like if we give back a little to the people who put their life for us, the world will be a better place."
The Tunnel to Towers 5k Run is Saturday at 8:30am starting at Fort Maurepas and ending at the Great Lawn at Harrah's Casino. You can still register in person Friday night at Mikey's on the Bayou or Saturday at the run.
