MOSS POINT, MS (WLOX) -

Moss Point police say the investigation into a deadly triple shooting is moving slowly as detectives follow up on multiple leads.

Darnell Bolton, 24, died in a Sunday night shootout that took place at a car wash on Jefferson Avenue. Two others were injured.

Tuesday, police identified the shooting victims as Desmond Thomas and Craig Brown. Thomas is in critical condition, according to hospital officials. Police say Brown suffered minor injuries and was released from Singing River Hospital on Monday.

"This is one of those investigations that's just slow, really slow," said Stacey Deans, with the Moss Point Police Department.

Deans said investigators have followed numerous leads, "but nothing has panned out."  Deans would not go into detail about the kind of leads investigators are getting from the public.

Police said the shooting stemmed from a confrontation on Facebook. Bolton's friends and family said he was trying to break up the fight when he was killed.
