Biloxi man charged with 6 counts of auto burglary

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - A 24-year-old Biloxi, Mississippi man is behind bars Sunday night after being charged with six counts of auto burglary.

After receiving reports of several auto burglaries at various Biloxi casinos, police say evidence showed Tyler Jacoby Jones breaking car windows and stealing items.

Upon further investigation, many of the burglaries were caught on surveillance video, and Jones was seen driving a black 2006 Honda Accord with a personalized tag that had been reported stolen.

After police identified Jones as the suspect in the Honda, he was also identified as the suspect committing crimes in the surveillance footage.

Police arrested Jones without incident on Sunday, September 6 in the 2400 block of Pass Road. Jones was transported to the Harrison County Jail. Bond was set at $25,000 per count, for a total bond of $150,000.

Officials say the investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending in Biloxi and in Ocean Springs due to similar case facts, method of entry, time and proximity.
