JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

The Jackson County Sheriff's Department has completed their investigation in regards to an August shooting involving a deputy.

Officials say that an irate Robert "Biker Bob" Baker called the sheriff's department around 1:30 p.m. on August 19.

After responding, Baker refused to put down his weapon, resulting in multiple shots fired by Deputy Jacob Chavis. Baker was transported to Ocean Springs Hospital where he underwent surgery.

Deputy Chavis was placed on administrative leave following the incident, and returned to full duty on August 24.

In addition to an investigation by the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, the Jackson County Sheriff's Department conducted their own investigation in regards to Baker's actions and criminal conduct.

Officials say the findings of both will be presented to a Jackson County Grand Jury.
