Biloxi School District lifts cell phone ban

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

The Biloxi School District is lifting its ban on cell phones on campus. This year, students are allowed to use the electronic devices, but there are restrictions.

Teachers are also taking advantage of the opportunity by allowing cell phone use for academic purposes. The principal says so far, the policy is making a positive difference.

    The Mississippi Attorney General’s Office and Secretary of State’s Office join the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and law enforcement officials and charity regulators from every state, the District of Columbia, American Samoa, Guam, and Puerto Rico in announcing “Operation Donate with Honor,” an education campaign alerting donors to fundraising solicitations falsely promising donations to veterans and service members.
