Kevin Norwood apparently was on the Seattle Seahawks chopping block. Norwood was drafted in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft and caught nine passes for 102 yards last season with the Seahawks. Reportedly Seattle was planning to cut Norwood, until Carolina came up with a trade.
The Panthers have had injuries and inconsistent play at wide receiver and decided to trade an undisclosed conditional draft in 2017 to Seattle for the services of Norwood.
Norwood, a 6-foot-2, 199 pound second year player had only two receptions for 18 yards during the preseason for Seattle. He played in nine regular season games last season.
