BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

The flags outside Biloxi fire stations have been lowered to half-staff. Firefighters across the city are mourning the loss of a brother.

They’ve known for less than 24 hours that the man who was shot to death during a domestic violence incident in Vancleave on Wednesday was a Biloxi firefighter.

Jackson County Sheriff Mike Ezell identified the man as 45-year-old Richard Lewis Moore. Ezell said Moore’s wife, 44-year-old Michelle Moore, was taken in for questioning after the shooting.

County detectives are investigating the case. Ezell said all findings will be presented to a Jackson County Grand Jury.
