WATCH LIVE at 4pm: President Obama speaks about the Gulf Coast's Katrina Recovery

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WLOX) -

President Barack Obama is in New Orleans today to take part in events commemorating the 10th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. At 4pm, the president will deliver a speech at a newly opened community center in the Lower 9th Ward, an area of the city still struggling to recover from the deadly storm.

Friday, WLOX will offer a day-long live stream focused on Hurricane Katrina's impact on South Mississippi. Part of that stream will include live coverage of President Bush's visit with first responders in Gulfport. We'll also show you what the Mississippi Gulf Coast looked like in the days after Katrina's landfall, and highlight stories of courage and survival.
