HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - FEMA administrator Craig Fugate visited West Harrison High School this morning to talk about storm preparedness and sharing lessons learned from Katrina.
Fugate and MEMA Director Robert Latham met with school district Superintendent Henry Arledge and other school officials and community leaders. West Harrison and D'Iberville High both have 360 safe rooms that can be used for storm shelters.
Fugate says FEMA is better prepared for future major disasters and learned many lessons from Katrina. He took time to meet with broadcast journalism students and answered their questions about FEMA and the response in Mississippi.
Steve Phillips will tell you all about Fugate's visit tonight on WLOX News and WLOX.com.
