The Pascagoula Fire Department was called to a fire at VT Halter Marine shipyard Sunday morning.
Officials say flames tore through a satellite tool room at the shipyard on Bayou Casotte Parkway in Pascagoula around 11 a.m.
VT Halter Marine CEO Jack Prendergast says the fire completely destroyed the room.
The VT emergency team responded first and then called the Pascagoula Fire Department for help.
The fire was limited to the tool room and the restroom next door.
One lady was inside and another person was in the vicinity at the time of the blaze, but no injuries were reported.
The fire is now under control, but the cause is still unknown. Prendergast said he believes it was an electrical issue.
Investigators are still on the scene working to figure out what sparked the fire.
