HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - The Harrison County Circuit Clerk has a reminder about the upcoming runoff election. Even if you did not vote in the Aug. 4 primary, you may still cast a ballot in this Tuesday's primary runoff election.
Circuit Clerk Gayle Parker says there's some confusion among some voters about who is eligible to vote in the runoff.
"If you didn't vote, you certainly need to go and exercise your right to vote," said Parker. "And of course, if you voted, it was a party primary, and if you voted for one party, if you did vote, then you have to go and cast your vote for that same party."
Tuesday's runoff election includes the race for Harrison County Sheriff, along with two county supervisor positions.
Voter turnout for the first primary in Harrison County was just 24 percent.
