HANCOCK COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - The trial for a Hancock County man accused of murder has recessed for the weekend after a full day of testimony and a few twists in the case.
Glen Davis is on trial for the 2012 murder of 83-year-old Hancock County businessman Maurice Colly.
Colly's body was found in the trunk of his car at the apartment complex he owned in Bay St. Louis.
Testimony in the case was halted Friday after one of the jurors was dismissed.
That juror discovered she knew one of the witnesses who was expected to testify for the defense.
An alternate who had been listening in on the four day trial will replace that juror when the trial continues Monday morning.
Davis is also charged with embezzlement, burglary and auto theft. However, he is only being tried on the murder charge at this time.
