HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - The single outstanding vote in the House District 121 Democratic primary race will remain uncounted. That's because the voter who cast the ballot on election day without proper identification did not bring their ID to the circuit clerk's office for verification.
The deadline was Tuesday.
That race ended in a tie between Brian Pearse and Hunter Dawkins. Affidavits counted later gave Pearse a one vote victory.
Connie Ladner, the circuit clerk-elect in Harrison County, said because the outstanding ballot cannot be verified, it will remain sealed.
Pearse faces incumbent Republican Carolyn Crawford for the District 121 House seat in the November general election.
