A free training program that's geared toward helping high school dropouts is expanding to Jackson County. Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College recently received a $300,000 grant from the Kellogg Foundation to fund the Transitions Academy over the next three years.

The school already offers a welding and GED course. The grant will allow MGCCC to start a ship fitting class at the Jackson County Campus in January.
Trang Pham Bui will tell you more about this program tonight on WLOX News and WLOX.com.
